Luigi Tenco & Dalida: San Remo 1967

Dalida and Luigi Tenco were photographed relaxing in San Remo on January 1967. It is hard to believe what would happen next, Tenco's unexpected and tragic death after failing to qualify with "Ciao Amore".

Al Pacino: A Winter Night Out In Town

There is no doubt that the ensemble worn by Al Pacino in 1979 for a night out in town can be effortlessly worn still nowadays and look modern. Very basic yet bold. The eyeglasses and scarf add the last touch, yet remember one must always wear eyewear that suits our face and personality.

"A Single Man" Winter

A simple yet brilliant look for this Winter is the one worn during a scene of Tom Ford's acclaimed film "A Single Man", his style ode to cinema. Lois & Kenny, played by Aline Weber and Nicholas Hoult are an example of less is more. Hoult's character wore a brown leather jacket over his sweater, creating a balanced contrast.

Highlights from Milan F/W 2012

Once again Milan became the world's style capital when 2012's Fall/Winter menswear collections graced the runway this week.

Like in recent seasons, the 60s and 70s menswear aesthetic was perfectly blended with today's versatile, functional, and avant garde aesthetic. Most collections featured double breasted jackets, belted coats, one button suits, turtlenecks, scarves, and sweaters in dark colors such as black, gray, and navy blue.

Vivienne Westwood presented a show that carried an ecological message with some model's "melting face" makeup paired with classic elegance, as shown above. Turtlenecks are a staple during this season.

Trussardi paid tribute to F1 driver, Jackie Stewart with ensembles that featured aviators, peaked caps, scarves, and a champagne bottle as the finishing touch. This was an extremely 70s inspired collection.

Zegna's brown leather jacket had a Howard Hughes/"The Aviator" vibe to it, while Gucci's black turtleneck sweater and brown pants were sleek. Etro added some spice with this multicolored jacket.

Dolce & Gabbana's embroided jackets, reminiscent of the 19th Century, proved to be in my opinion one of the most versatile items this season due to the inifite ways that they can be worn. It's all about the details.

Cavalli gave a 360 degree turn with its color palette, from light and warm colors last season to dark and gothic shades. Yet there was still a touch of color with a yellow suit. A sometimes obscure collection but with wearability and modernity. The total black looks were a hit.

Paisley print pants, gray Safari jackets, and a striped suit that reminded of Brian Jones were some of Canali's creations.

Burberry Prorsum can be defined in two words: English Gentleman.

Ferragamo showed how to succesfully wear a coat, a leather jacket, a chunky scarf, and a striking jacket with a turtleneck.

Jackie Stewart

After looking at Trussardi's amazing Fall/Winter 2012 collection that was recently shown during Milan Fashion Week, all I can say that this collection is definetly a style tribute to British F1 driver, Jackie Stewart.

On the following photo, Stewart proves how oversized aviators, a peaked cap, and a high neck racing uniform can build a bold ensemble.

When Ungaro met Keith Haring

In 1983 Emanuel Ungaro's menswear division launched a very upbeat campaign that paired the iconic fashion house's suits with some Keith Haring drawings. Perfection.
